I will be travelling to Japan for the 2nd time from March through May of this coming year. Please join me on this journey as I explore more of what Japan has to offer, and grow deeper into my love of Japanese culture, food and spirituality.

What People Say in Japan
猿も木から落ちる.
(Saru mo ki kara ochiru).
Translation: Even a monkey can fall from a tree.
河童の川流れ.
(kappa no kawa nagare)
Translation: Even a kappa can drown.
郷に入っては郷に従え.
(Gô ni haitte wa gô ni sitagae)
Translation: When you join another village, follow the rules
Update 25th June 2020: This is a work in progress.
I returned to NZ on the 27th March, before the borders/flights closed for good, because I didn’t want to be stranded in Japan, despite my love for the country. I will be updating this page with the adventures I had in the 3.5 weeks I was there, but many life events in the interim have meant that I haven’t done it quite yet.
