Vernal Equinox 2022
– September 23rd 13:04
This year’s spring equinox came and went in the usual fashion, with seemingly little to note. But when I start to feel blasé about the passing of time, I remember the important of staying in the moment and focusing on the wonders around me.
Doing this, I became hyper-aware of the beauty of all the blooming flowers, baby animals and new greens shoots appearing in the gardens near mine. Visiting the local lake was so much more exciting than usual because I would see pukeko chicks, goslings, cygnets and many many others. Even now, in mid-November, I am delighted to see that many of those tiny birds have become teenager birds and are now fledged, or partially fledged.
The delicate beginning of spring is my favorite because now everything has been inundated with pollen, but every time, every month is special and I hope you treasure all of it the way I do.
Thanks for reading.
